the 19-year-old city councilman

Here's a Los Angeles Times profile on 19-year-old Jeremy Yamaguchi, who successfully ran for city council in Placentia, California in November and became one of the youngest elected officials in the history of Orange County: College student by day, city councilman by night.

Look at this guy! Not only was the kid a top vote-getter for the Placentia City Council, he's also a sophomore studying political science at Cal State Fullerton. When I was a 19-year-old college student, I was an idiot. This guy is an elected official... and now a hit with the ladies.
