"getting your message out" at 2009 oca national convention

Hey people. If you're headed to the 2009 OCA National Convention this weekend in San Francisco, just wanted to make sure you know that I'll be speaking on a panel, Getting Your Message Out, on Saturday afternoon.

I'll be sitting alongside cool folks like Lisa Lee of Hyphen, Kevin Hsieh of ChannelAPA and Clara Shih, author of The Facebook Era. We'll be talking about new media, social networks and all that good internet stuff. Here's the description:
Getting Your Message Out

With the Asian Pacific American population rising in numbers across the country, it is more important than ever to raise our voices effectively and create a strong network of advocates through various media outlets. In view of the current economy and weakened traditional media structure, it is time to acclimate to the constantly changing media landscape and start utilizing new technology and the social networks to your advantage. Panel experts will discuss how to utilize Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and other online resources to help get your messages out.
Best of all, the whole thing will be moderated by former Angry Reader of the Week, Jack Song. It's happening Saturday, August 8 at the Westin St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco. If you're attending the conference, please come to our panel and say hello.
