Cultural Center of Los Angeles ($5 workshop fee). The "One Dream" performances (both free admission) will be held at Grand Performances on August 20, 2010, 8 p.m., California Plaza, Los Angeles, CA and at Orange County Great Park on August 21, 2010, 8 p.m., Irvine, CA.

"One Dream" is an anthology of Last For One’s most enduring performance pieces. It traces, through dance and video, the group’s extraordinary rise to prominence in the world of hip-hop and beyond. The story starts from their humble, unlikely beginnings, through their triumphant first place victory at the biggest B-boying event in the world, the Battle of the Year, all the way to their current status as one of the busiest, highly sought after dance troupes in the world. Like the movies "Rocky" or "Hoosiers," this is a story in the classic mold of the underdog, who, against all odds, rises to greatness.
I've had the pleasure of seeing these guys perform live, and they're pretty damn fantastic. If you're in Southern California, and want to see some amazing feats of kickass dancing, come out to one of these shows. And it's free!
