save the date: banana 2

Fellow Asian American bloggers, save the date. The organizers of BANANA, the first-ever APIA bloggers conference, are hard at work putting together the second gathering, Banana 2, happening February 26, 2011 at the CBS Studios in Studio City, California. They're inviting readers and bloggers, far and wide, to come and take part. Here's some more information:
BANANA 2: Asian Pacific American Bloggers Conference

Saturday, February 26, 2011
8:00am - 6:00pm

CBS Studio Center
4024 Radford Avenue
Los Angeles, CA

BANANA 2 is a follow-up to the inaugural convening in Nov. 2009 co-hosted by Lac Su, author of "I Love Yous Are For White People," and Steve Nguyen, a television/film producer and head of the ChannelAPA.com's Los Angeles division, who enlisted the help of a small group of other bloggers, community activists and creatives to produce an event that would focus on highlighting and amplifying the online voices of Asian Americans.
Things are still coming together, so they don't have all the details yet, but a complete schedule of panels and presenters will be announced next month. In the meantime, keep up to date with the Banana 2 website here and the Facebook page here.
