31-year-old Tom Heng, an experienced hiker from San Rafael, California, was last seen on July 22 on what was supposed to be a daylong hike to the summit Mount Langley in Sequoia National Park. At some point, he got separated from his group.
Heng's body was found in the Old Army Pass area of the John Muir Wilderness in Inyo National Forest. The cause of death wasn't made public:

On Wednesday search and rescue groups from the Sequoia National Park, Inyo County Sheriff's Department and other agencies continued searching for Heng with helicopters and dogs. They found his body in the Old Army Pass area of the John Muir Wilderness in Inyo National Forest, Dierkes said.
A positive identification was made at around 5 p.m.
