And Other Items of Note From Angry Asian America.

Minnesota investigates the arrest by ICE of a Hmong American man as a possible kidnapping

In Minnesota, local authorities are investigating the arrest of a Hmong American man by federal officers as a potential case of kidnapping, burglary and false imprisonment. In January, ICE officers bashed open the front door of ChongLy "Scott" Thao's home at gunpoint without a warrant, then led him outside in just his underwear and a blanket in freezing conditions. He was returned to his home a few hours later when these ICE geniuses realized they had made a mistake -- a mistake that might mean criminal charges.

Isa Briones Speaks Out on Audience Member Shouting to Her Mid-Performance

According to Isa Briones, "some people need to brush up on theater etiquette" -- specifically, the audience member who shouted out her The Pitt character's name mid-performance at Just in Time. While starring on Broadway as 'Connie Francis' in the hit musical, Briones shared that an audience member inapropriately yelled out "Dr. Santos!" during the show. "I'm not Dr. Santos. I'm not even Connie Francis. I am Isa Briones, one of the actors in the show you have paid to enjoy," Briones wrote in an Instagram story. "You are not a kid at Disneyland. You are an adult man at a Broadway show. Act like it."

The Huangs have not watched the Golden Globes since 1996. Here's why.

Make it right, Hollywood Foreign Press Association. #makeitrightFOTB

The year: 1996. Ang Lee's exquisite, critically-acclaimed adaptation of Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility is an awards season darling, nominated for six Golden Globes -- including Best Director. But when the envelope was opened, the Best Director trophy was presented to Mel Gibson for Braveheart. Noooo! Ang wuz robbed.

Ang Lee walked away empty-handed. And nobody was more disappointed than the Huang family. In this special video message from Fresh Off The Boat to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, we see the Huangs eagerly gathered around the TV on that fateful night, clad in their matching Team Ang t-shirts.

"A Taiwanese man directing a movie about white women in old England," gushes Jessica. "See, boys? Anything is possible if you study hard and become a lawyer."

There was so much hope. But we all know what happened that night. Here's how it went down:

This is how an Oscar winner celebrates.

Spotted in Hollywood last night after the Academy Awards: Oscar winner Ang Lee, his Best Director trophy, and an In N Out Burger. That's called victory. (I wonder if he went Animal Style.)

Ang Lee wins Oscar for Best Director

A huge congratulations to Ang Lee, who took home the trophy for Best Director for Life of Pi last night at the 85th Academy Awards: Oscars 2013: Ang Lee wins best director for 'Life of Pi'

Besting a category that included competition from the likes of Steven Spielberg, the decorated Taiwanese filmmaker was as gracious as ever, thanking "Movie God." He was all smiles, raising his hands as walked to the stage and looking just as surprised as anyone over the win.

Coincidentally, the last time Lee won the Oscar for Best Director, back in 2006 for Brokeback Mountain, he was up against Spielberg then too. Better luck next time, Steven.

Here's video of Mr. Lee's acceptance speech:
