Constance Wu to star in Freddie Wong's 'Dimension 404'

Hulu sci-fi/fantasy anthology series explores "stories that cannot be explained in the world that we know."



Constance Wu, who you know and love as Jessica Huang on Fresh Off The Boat, has joined the cast of Dimension 404, a Hulu six-episode sci-fi/fantasy anthology scripted series from Freddie Wong's RocketJump.

Inspired by the internet's "404" error code, Dimension 404 aims to evoke "wandering onto the weird side of the web at 3 AM and stumbling upon stories that cannot be explained in the world that we know."

The Twilight Zone-esque series will explore questions like: What if an obscure cartoon held the secret to time travel? What if energy drinks caused the apocalypse? What if the NSA's top analyst was a gigantic, all-knowing cube of sentient meat named Bob? These are questions that I, too, would like answers to.

Sometimes the situation is so pathetically ridiculous, you just have to shake your head and laugh. In response to the widely-decried casting of Scarlett Johansson in the live-action remake of Ghost in the Shell, here's a funny video from the folks at RocketJump, in which they imagine the behind-the-scenes special effects tinkering it takes to turn the movie's white star into a Asian robot cyborg.

Take Your Shot: Make a Film with Wong Fu, Freddie Wong and Jon Chu



Hey filmmakers! Check out this awesome opportunity... AT&T and ISAtv recently launched Take Your Shot, calling on aspiring Asian filmmakers to enter to win a unique opportunity to collaborate with Asian American filmmakers Wong Fu Productions, Freddie Wong or Jon M. Chu. Three finalists will be paired up with one of the mentors to create their short films to debut in the AT&T Mobile Film Festival online in October.

ISA! Variety Game Show Premieres



Our friends in ISA just launched ISA! (please note the exclamation point) their take on the Asian American Variety Game Show. If you've seen shows like this from Asia, you'll be familiar with the format. Great idea.
