Awesome amateur sketch helps police identify theft suspect

An amateur hand-drawn sketch helped investigators identify a suspect accused of theft at a Pennsylvania farmers market. Take a good look at that sketch, then look at the suspect's mug shot. I know. Awesome.

According to police, Hung Phuoc Nguyen pretended to be an employee at a stand inside Central Market in Lancaster. When an actual employee stepped away, Nguyen took cash from a customer then ran off.

A witness provided a rough sketch -- really rough sketch -- of the suspect to officers. The drawing, along with the physical description, somehow helped remind investigators of a potential suspect.

Last week in northeast Pennsylvania, five former fraternity members were arraigned on murder charges for their participation in the brutal hazing ritual that killed a New York City college student in 2013.

On Thursday, 26-year-old Kenny Kwan, 24-year-old Charles Lai, 22-year-old Raymond Lam, 23-year-old Sheldon Wong and 23-year-old Daniel Li -- identified by police as the most culpable of 37 suspects in the case -- were arraigned in the death of Baruch College freshman Chun "Michael" Deng.

According to police, fraternity members at Pi Delta Psi, an Asian American fraternity, forced Deng to participate in a hazing ritual in which he was tackled repeatedly, then tried to cover it up after he suffered a brain injury.

Students to face homicide charges in frat hazing death

A follow up on this fraternity hazing death case from last December... In Pennsylvania, authorities expect to bring homicide charges against most of the 30 or so Baruch College students who were on the weekend fraternity retreat and involved in the ritual gone wrong that killed a freshman pledge.

Homicide Charges Likely in Baruch College Fraternity Retreat Case

19-year-old Chun Hsien "Michael" Deng suffered severe head trauma while participating in a ritual with members of Pi Delta Psi. The game, played outside, involved fraternity pledges getting strapped into heavy backpacks and blindfolded, then made to find their way across a frozen lawn while others tried to tackle them.

According to the Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department, which oversaw the investigation of Deng's death, the students will likely be charged with homicide and hazing.

He knew he'd get in trouble. Administrators warned 18-year-old Patrick Farves not to make a scene when Davuluri visited Central York High School in Pennsylvania last week. But that didn't stop him from inviting the beauty queen to his senior prom during the Q&A session. It earned him three days suspension.

But while Davuluri's travel schedule will not allow her to attend Central York High's prom, Miss America is kind, and appealed to school officials to rethink the suspension. She issued the following statement on the official Miss America Facebook page:
