They could save their brother's life... if the U.S. would let them in the country.

Tu Le needs a bone marrow donor. His brothers in Vietnam are perfect matches, but their visas were denied.

Two Vietnamese brothers who petitioned to travel to the United States to donate bone marrow to their dying brother in San Jose were denied temporary visas by the U.S. government.

Tu Le is suffering form Myelodysplastic syndrome, an aggressive form of blood cancer. He is dying. Le is in desperate need of a bone marrow transplant to survive. His brothers are both matches. A perfect 100% genetic match. But they have been denied temporary visas by the U.S. government.

Le's brothers, Lam Le and Hiep Nguyen, applied for B-2 tourist visas at the end of May, citing a medical emergency. According the family, they were denied entry on June 3. These men have what is necessary to save their brother's life, and the United States government is like... nope.

Vietnam War-inspired clothing line includes racist caricature

Mister Freedom's "Saigon Cowboy" collection is some serious bullshit.

You've got to kidding me. Behold, Mister Freedom is the latest designer clothing line to peddle racist bullshit in the guise of fashion. Its recently unveiled Summer/Spring 2015 collection, entitled "Saigon Cowboy" -- oh, you already know where this is going -- is inspired by the f*cking Vietnam War, of all things.

One of collection's pieces includes a jacket -- ahem, excuse me, a "Party Jacket" -- adorned with a patch featuring a straight-up racist Asian caricature for something called the "Mekong Delta Social Club" -- just like some shit the troops used to wear! Perfect apparel for annihilating little yellow men in the jungle.

The super-casual racism of this is kind of amazing. Somebody watched Full Metal Jacket too many times.

Fund This: They Call Us Viet Kieu

A 28-page illustrated book about a trip to Vietnam that transformed an artist and her family

Minnie Phan is a Bay Area artist in her final year of art school, currently working on a senior thesis project about her family and the Vietnamese American community, based on her own experiences. They Call Us Viet Kieu is a 28-page illustrated book about a trip to Vietnam that transformed Minnie and her family.

She recently launched an Indiegogo campaign to fund the printing of the book. Thanks to generous funders, she's already blown way past her initial goal, plus several stretch goals allowing her to print copies of the book in both English and Vietnamese. The book is definitely getting published, and it looks great.

The campaign is in its final days, and if the project reaches its next goal, she'll be able to print a thousand English copies to send to libraries, universities and community centers across the country. Here's some more information on the project:

This guy spends 10 days Vietnam, concludes that the Vietnamese ate all the rats and birds and dogs. And that's why it's an aggressive country. The End.

Did you know? The streets of Saigon are completely free and clear of rats, squirrels and stray dogs... because the Vietnamese people at the them all! Well, according to Tribune columnist Joel Brinkley.

I posted this item up and down social media channels last week, but I wanted to make sure visitors here also saw this fantastically ignorant piece of trash passing for journalism, in which Brinkley apparently has Vietnam all figured out: Joel Brinkley: Despite increasing prosperity, Vietnam's appetites remain unique.

The column alleges that Vietnam's "aggressive tendencies" (the f%ck?) can be traced to its people's penchant for eating meat of all shapes and varieties -- particularly rats, birds and dogs. How did he come to this brilliant theory? It sounds like he visited Vietnam and saw some different-ass shit, which somehow gave him the insight to assess the soul of a nation. Based on its eating habits:
