At this point, there is pretty much nothing Donald Trump can say that will surprise us. So why should we be surprised that the Republican presidential candidate compared the U.S.'s trade deficit with China to rape?

"We can't continue to allow China to rape our country, and that's what they're doing," Trump said Sunday during a rally in Indiana, referring to China's high number of exports relative to the United States.

The anti-China rhetoric is not much of a shocker -- this is an election, after all. Xenophobic China-bashing is a major part of the campaign playbook. And everybody knows that Trump loves to talk about China.

Might as well throw a sexual violence metaphor on top of all the fear-mongering.

In Milwaukee, the accused killer who fatally shot a Puerto Rican father and a Hmong couple, in a triple homicide that many are calling a hate crime, has been ruled incompetent to stand trial.

The criminal complaint against Dan J. Popp, who is white, alleges that he made racial comments before fatally shooting a Hmong couple, Phia Vue and Mai K. Vue, and a Puerto Rican man, Jesus R. Manso-Perez, in their apartment complex in southwest Milwaukee last month.

Witnesses say Popp, 39, questioned Manso-Perez and his son about their ethnic background after hearing them speak Spanish and said "you guys got to go" before the shooting.

Popp then stormed into the apartment of Phia and Mai Vue. He fatally shot them after pulling them out of a bedroom in front of their four children and another relative, according to the criminal complaint.

Popp was charged with three counts of first-degree intentional homicide in the fatal shootings and one count of first-degree attempted homicide for shooting at, but not hitting, Manso-Perez's son. A coalition of community members has been calling on authorities to investigate the killings as hate crimes.

In Wisconsin, a coalition of over twenty community groups is calling for the triple homicide of a Puerto Rican man and Hmong couple, who were fatally shot by their white neighbor, to be prosecuted as a hate crime.

You may have heard the derogatory term "anchor babies" -- yes, shit is derogatory -- being used in discussions about immigration, particularly from the likes of Republican presidential candidates like Donald Trump, et al. who are calling for stricter crack downs on undocumented immigrants who purportedly taking advantage of America's policy of birthright citizenship under the 14th amendment.

Jeb Bush: 'Chill Out' on Criticism of 'Anchor Baby' Term

Criticized for using the term "anchor babies" during a conservative radio interview last week, Florida governor Jeb Bush has doubled down, telling reporters that he does not believe the term is offensive. "Nothing about what I've said should be viewed as derogatory towards immigrants at all," he said Monday in McAllen, Texas. "I think we need to take a step back and chill out a little bit." This is all apparently political correctness run amok.

He clarified further, saying that he used the term "anchor babies" specifically to refer to fraud in a "specific targeted kind of case" involving mothers who travel to the U.S. only to win citizenship for their unborn children.

"Frankly, it's more Asian people."

Got that, folks? In case you were concerned that Jeb Bush was referring to Latinos when talking about "anchor babies" taking advantage of birthright citizenship, don't worry -- he was just talking about Asians.
