Asians behaving badly... firearem-brandishing drunken cop edition. In the Bay Area, a sheriff's deputy was arrested for allegedly brandishing a gun while drunkenly ordering food at a fast food drive-through window.

33-year-old Santa Clara County sheriff's deputy Benjamin Lee was arrested early Sunday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence and brandishing a firearm. Why? Why did he pull out his gun?

The drive-through line was apparently taking too long.

69-year-old Bounmy Rajsombath was trying to stop his daughter from driving while intoxicated



Damn. Tragic story out of Southern California... Last Friday in Riverside, a 69-year-old man was struck and killed by an automobile while trying to prevent his daughter from driving drunk.

Riverside woman runs over father, fatally injuring him, police say

According to witnesses, 37-year-old Soukvilay Barton had been drinking when she became upset and tried to leave home. Her father, Bounmy Rajsombath, was standing behind her car, trying to talk her out of driving while intoxicated, when she backed out of the garage and struck him in the driveway, killing him.

Marine killed by suspected drunk driver

23-year-old Andrew Silva had just returned from service in Afghanistan



Tragic news out of the Bay Area, where a U.S. Marine who had just returned from service in Afghanistan was struck and killed by a suspected drunk driver Tuesday morning while riding his motorcycle.

Marines, friends honor man killed in motorcycle accident

23-year-old Lance Cpl. Andrew Silva was riding in Fremont when he was hit by a Mini Cooper speeding in excess of 80 miles per hour, throwing him from his bike. He died at the scene. Silva, who was married with a young son, had just returned last month after serving a one-year tour in Helmand Province.

The driver, 23-year-old Alexander Yohn, was arrested and booked on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and hit-and-run causing death or injury.
