Colorado Man Wears KKK Mask Inside Grocery Store
In Colorado, police are asking for community help in identifying a man who wore a Ku Klux Klan mask inside a local grocery store Thursday. Shoppers at the Dillon City Market were treated to the sight of a dude wearing a Klan-style pointed hood picking up some 2% in the dairy aisle. When store employees asked him to leave, he apparently refused. Police were called to the scene, but pointy reportedly left the area before they arrived. So is this becoming a thing? For the record, this is an entirely different incident from that other guy who wore a Klan hood in a San Diego area supermarket.

Koreatown Company Accused of Touting Radish Paste as Coronavirus Deterrent
In Los Angeles, the city attorney announced a lawsuit against a local company for allegedly selling a radish paste as a way to prevent people from contracting COVID-19. According to the lawsuit, filed against Koreatown-based Insan Healing, the radish paste product had not been tested by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration or state agencies as a way to protect people against the virus, and advertising it as such is against California's laws of unfair competition.

Superman is going to smash the Klan

Gene Luen Yang joins the roster of DC Comics' new imprints aimed at young readers.



Battling racists? This is a job for Superman! DC Comics recently announced two new youth-oriented original graphic novel imprints, DC Ink, which will focus on young adult readers, and DC Zoom, which will focus on middle grade readers. Both imprints will feature work by an acclaimed, all-star roster of talent, but one title in particular caught our attention: Superman Smashes the Klan by Gene Luen Yang.

There's not a lot to go on yet, outside of DC's press release, but the title alone instantly conjures up imagery of the Man of Steel punching out white hooded assholes. And that's kind of fun. Story-wise, it might be the kind of thing that gives you pause -- racism is real; will these themes be handles with some sensitivity?

Then you see that Gene Luen Yang is writing it, and it's allllll good. That's all I need to know.

"If anyone can make a bold statement with Superman, it is Gene Yang," Michele Wells, the vice president for content strategy at DC, told The New York Times.

KKK flyers distributed to homes in Anaheim

Hate fliers found in front yards on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.



Well, that's a shitty thing to find on your lawn. Flyers purporting to be from the Ku Klux Klan were found in the front yards of at least twenty residences in Anaheim on Monday -- Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Some Anaheim Residents Disturbed By Fliers Linked To KKK

The flyers, which were placed in plastic bags along with a rock and a treat, such as a lollipop, contained a message from the KKK and a phone number (with a North Carolina area code) for the organization. Because everybody knows that a racist's most powerful recruiting tool is a sucker.

Virginia mom dresses son in KKK costume for Halloween

It's apparently a family tradition.



Sorry, I guess we're still talking about Halloween... This year, we saw people dressing up in all manners of racist costume foolishness, including those guys who dressed up bloody Asiana flight attendants.

Now, it's one thing when grown-ass adults put on a racist costume... but what about the Virginia parent who dressed up her kid in a Ku Klux Klan robe for Halloween? Oh hell no. Yes, this happened. Happy Halloween: Mom Lets Son Wear KKK Halloween Costume, Says It's A Family Tradition.

Jessica Black of Craigsville, Virginia let her 7-year-old son Jackson dress as a Klansman for Halloween. When confronted about the costume by local ABC news affiliate WHSV, Black defended her decision, insisting that the robe is a family tradition. Also, as you can deduce from her comments, she's racist:
