'Spider-Man' director found his connection to the world at the movies

"As a kid, I would watch many movies with my dad, with our family, and that is how I traveled. That is how I was exposed to other cultures. That's how I understand how kids grew up in high school on the mainland. And one of my biggest takeaways was not how different we are, but how similar we are, emotionally." Destin Daniel Cretton, director of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, explains to NPR's Fresh Air about how movies connected to the bigger world outside of his upbringing in Hawaii.

Behold, this kid is straight up channeling the spirit of Bruce Lee, from the yellow jumpsuit to the swift nunchuck skills (not to mention the righteous facial expressions). That's 5-year-old Ryuji Imai with all the right moves, doing a pretty damn great impression of the Dragon.

Those silly Asians in and their "Ping Pong" dreams

Hey, look! Asians in Armin van Buuren's latest music video

Nerdy Asian alert. There's a whole bunch of Asian people in this music video for electronic artist Armin van Buuren's "Ping Pong," including one dude with some very ambitious table tennis dreams. Because if call your song "Ping Pong," you gotta have some Asians up in there, right? It's all very silly, but fun.

This door is protected by Bruce Lee

Got this passed along to me. I don't know what this is or where it came from, but it is awesome. Man, I seriously want this to be an actual thing. I wish I had a door chain, just so I could replicate this in real life. (Thanks, David.)
