yomyomf's interpretations finalists

Over the weekend at the San Diego Asian Film Festival, YOMYOMF announced the five winning entries in the Interpretations short film initiative, a project to encourage aspiring filmmakers to develop their own original and unique voice. They received hundreds of submissions, all with the same four lines of dialogue, but each with completely different visions. Here are the five films chosen as finalists:

How to Greet the Dead by Aldous Davidson

Shine by Kha Do

Struck At First Sight by Keith Eng

Viewpoint by Andrew Oh

Bottled Up by Joey Yee

Congratulations to all the winners! To watch all of the submission, and to learn more about this filmmaking initiative, go to the Interpretations website here.

UPDATE: Our friends at Asia Pacific Arts also took on the exhaustive task of watching all the submissions and picked out their own top ten favorite Interpretations shorts: Interpreting Interpretations.
