exclusive adrian tomine prints for japan relief

This is super cool. Indie comics publisher Drawn & Quarterly and artist Adrian Tomine have teamed up to offer an exclusive set of prints to raise funds for disaster relief and recovery in Japan. 100% of proceeds will be donated to the Japan Society's Earthquake Relief Fund: Tomine/D+Q Japan Fundraiser.

These images were originally created as cover illustrations for the Criterion Collection DVD releases of Yasujiro Ozu's The Only Son and There Was a Father. The prints, signed and numbered by Tomine, won't be available anywhere else, and will be strictly limited to an edition of 50.

In addition to the two prints, all orders will include a small original sketch by Adrian Tomine, personalized to the name of the purchaser. The prints go on sale on April 27, 12:00pm ET. For more information about the fundraiser, go to the Drawn & Quarterly website here.
