angry reader of the week: bhurin sead

A few days early, but here we go! It's time to meet the Angry Reader of the Week, spotlighting you, the very special readers of this website. Over the years, I've been able to connect with a lot of cool folks, and this is a way of showing some appreciation and attention to the people who help make this blog what it is. This week's Angry Reader is Bhurin Sead.

Who are you?
Most people call me Bhurin. My family calls me Tex. My wife calls me B. And my mom calls me a lot to see how I've been doing and if I've been eating well.

What are you?
I'm a second generation Thai American that grew up on Back to the Future marathons, skateboards and punk rock.

Where are you?
I'm writing this from Santa Barbara, CA.

Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Texas. I grew up in a small town where I was the only Asian American kid in my entire grade in the entire school district.

What do you do?
I perform with Blue Man Group as a Blue Man. I'm currently on tour making a mess in really nice theaters.

When I'm not working, I write music and cook. I fell in love with running and picked up knitting since being out on the road.

What are you all about?
I'm all about supporting local farms and businesses. So go out and eat local!

More importantly though, I'm all about following what speaks to you. Finding it may be difficult. But once you've found it, follow it with everything you've got.

What makes you angry?
Fast food and chain restaurants really make me hurl. Drivers who choose not to share the roads with cyclists drive me nuts. Cyclists who don't wear their helmets give me headaches. Flopping in soccer makes me crazy. Text messages that say "LOL" or "k" are completely unnecessary. People who say "...but I'm not racist" don't know what they're talking about. People lowering their voices when telling a joke make me cringe. They're usually the same ones that say "...but I'm not racist."
