DJ Shy, the first female DJ for Los Angeles' KIIS FM 102.7, is featured in a reality docu-series, Beauty and the Beats, currently entered in MySpace's Storyteller Challenge. It's a behind-the-scenes look at her life and career as an Asian American woman in the male-dominated DJ industry. Producer Don Le describes it as a "passion-fueled project that mixes the best elements of HBO's Entourage with MTV's The Hills. What they've got so far looks pretty cool.
