los angeles opera presents the fly

This sounds like absolute madness, and I like it. According to Metroblogging Los Angeles, this fall, the L.A. Opera will be present an opera based on The Fly, with music by Howard Shore, libretto by David Henry Hwang, design by Dante Ferretti, conducted by Placido Domingo and directed by David Cronenberg: L.A. Opera to produce "The Fly." Yes, an opera based on Cronenberg's creepy 1986 film starring Jeff Goldblum and Geena Davis. I can't even fathom what kind of insane experience this will be. But dude, where is that Bruce Lee musical David Henry Hwang is supposedly working on? That's what I really want to see.
