78-year-old man kicks cop in the groin

Ouch, officer. Last week in Garden Grove, California, a 78-year-old man who was upset over traffic stop kicked a police officer in the groin -- twice. Yes, grandpa's still got some kick: Elderly Man, 78, Reportedly Kicks Cop In The Groin.

The officer reportedly clocked Mong Kim Tran going 52 mph in a 35-mph zone. Tran, who was alone in the car, became agitated when the officer approached. Tran got out and approached the officer. The officer asked Tran to step to the curb, out of traffic, for the safety of both of them.

When he was told he was getting a speeding ticket, Tran came within inches of the officer's face and began screaming.

When the officer told Tran to back off, Tran took a fighting stance, and struck the officer twice with a closed fist and then kicked the officer in the groin.

The officer pushed Tran back to the ground and handcuffed him. Tran sat on the curb while paramedics responded. As more officers arrived, Tran stood up and kicked the officer in the groin again.

Tran, who was taken to a hospital as a precaution, was arrested for suspicion of assault and battery on a police officer and speeding. Moral of the story: do not get caught speeding. Second moral: do not mess with an old angry Asian man. But if you do, guard your groin.
