chien-ming wang signs with washington nationals

It looks like former Yankee pitcher Chien-Ming Wang has signed a one-year contract with the Washington Nationals: Washington Nationals reportedly agree to a contract with former Yankee Chien-Ming Wang.

Wang became a free agent in December when the Yankees failed to offer him a 2010 contract. According to a team source, Wang's deal with the Nationals is worth $2 million and includes the chance to earn up to $3 million in performance bonuses.

He made $5 million last year, when he was 1-6 with a 9.64 ERA and his season was cut short by shoulder surgery on July 29. He is not expected to be able to pitch until sometime between April and June. More here: Chien-Ming Wang agrees to one-year deal with Nationals.
