If you're in San Diego this weekend, check out this talent show happening at UC San Diego, presented by the Asian & Pacific Island Student Alliance, with proceeds benefiting the Korematsu T. Korematsu Institute for Civil Rights and Education. Guest judges will include David Choi, Just Kidding Films, Keiko Agena and Parry Shen. It's happening Saturday, March 12 at UCSD Price Center. Our theme for this year is: "Up, Up, Here We Go!" Inspired from the lyrics
of upcoming Asian American artists, Far East Movement, their hit song,
"Rocketeer", we strive to encourage and showcase APIA uprising talent in the
performing arts and mainstream media!
Donations are graciously accepted! Proceeds will benefit the Fred Korematsu
(Asian American civil rights activist) Institute.
Doors open at 5:30pm, refreshments will be available, and there will be a
brief intermission!
