call for submissions: bring to light

Artists! Kearny Street Workshop and East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation invite Asian Pacific American artists nationwide to submit their work for an upcoming juried exhibition, Bring to Light.

Bring to Light asks where would we be without light and where will light lead us? They're looking for "works that reflect the qualities of solar power, light, lightness, energy, and the ability to propel movement." Oh, the possibilities!

Bring to Light seeks to illuminate the vast capabilities of light. Light makes all things visible, and now plays a critical role in visioning and creating a green future. We seek works that reflect the qualities of solar power, light, lightness, energy, and the ability to propel movement. Where would we be without light? Where will light lead us?

HOW TO SUBMIT & DEADLINE
Artists must submit online at kearnystreet.org by April 16, 2012.

ELIGIBILITY
Artists who self identity as Asian American and can deliver or ship their work from within the U.S. In our definition, "Asian American" includes individuals of East Asian, South Asian, Southeast Asian, Pacific Islander, and Middle Eastern descent.

ACCEPTED MEDIUMS
All 2-D mediums, video, sculpture, and installation within the dimensions of 71.75" width x 65.5" height x 4" depth.

EXHIBITION DATES
June 29 - September 14, 2012

NON-REFUNDABLE ENTRY FEE
$10
