In the corner this week, a poem by Tiffany Nguyen:
Greasy fingers, oily hair, onyx smudges on his faceTiffany Nguyen is a freshman at Haverford College. She has been published in The Evergreen Review. Her favorite writers include Haruki Murakami, Tim O'Brien and Seamus Heaney. She writes creatively because it feels natural.
Coffee stained teeth and roasted skin
50 dollars for your time
No charge for my love
He’s twisting his arm
bending over and forward to please
crippling his arms and
gripping tools that can fix everything but my broken heart
The machine wheezes into life
Licking his red chapped lips,
Job well done.
