volunteer opportunity: bilingual election protection hotline in dc/md/va

This is for helpful folks in the DC/MD/VA area...

Do you want to help protect Asian American voting rights? The Asian American Justice Center and APIA Vote are hosting an Asian language Election Protection hotline for Virginia and Florida, and they're currently looking for bilingual volunteers.

The training will take place in Washington DC, and there is a stipend available. Here are some more details:

WHAT:

- AAJC and APIAVote are looking for volunteers to staff our first-ever Asian language Election Protection hotline who can speak Korean, Cantonese/Mandarin, Vietnamese, or Thai.

- We are giving stipends for volunteers: $40 for 1 shift and $100 for 2 shifts

- All meals and beverages will also be provided.

- NO knowledge or experience with voting needed. Training is provided.

WHEN: Monday, Nov.5th and Tuesday, Nov. 6th:

Monday (4 hour shifts)
7am-11am
11am-3pm
3pm - 7pm

Tuesday: (5 hour shifts)
5:30am - 10:30am
10:30am - 3:30pm
3:30pm - 7:30pm
