So last week, word got out that Quentin Lee's latest film White Frog will be making its world premiere as the Opening Night presentation of the 30th San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival.
The indie coming-of-age drama, written by Ellie Wen, boasts a great cast that includes Booboo Stewart, Harry Shum Jr., B.D. Wong, Kelly Hu and Joan Chen. And now you get your first look in the recently released festival trailer:
I know more than a few folks who will be quite happy to see they've found an excuse for Harry Shum Jr. to take off his shirt in the movie. Oh, yeah. And there's a story too. Here's a brief synopsis from the movie website:
High-school freshman, Nick (The Twilight Saga's Booboo Stewart), is a neglected teen with mild Asperger's syndrome whose life is challenged and ultimately changed forever when tragedy hits his family.
