5:30-9:30pm

Pauley Ballroom
Bancroft Avenue
Berkeley, CA

You are cordially invited to Cal's 3rd annual CAPAW, the Celebration of Asian Pacific American Womyn, a night dedicated to recognizing the struggles, hystory, and achievements of APA womyn, which is a subject that is often excluded or marginalized in American society and discourse.

This year's theme is Mosaic: Piecing Together Our Stories. We decided on this theme because we think that every Asian American womyn's history has a place in the bigger collective history. This collective story is powerful and profound-- and worth recognizing.

We are so excited to be having FUIFUILUPE NIUMEITOLU and ANNIE FUKUSHIMA as our speakers for this festive night. Moreover, JAMAICA, JOYCE KWON, 5TH ELEMENT, YER YANG, and SKIM will fill the night with music, dance, art, and spoken word.
Should be a really special evening. So mark your calendars, put on your shiny shoes (semi-formal attire, please), and join in the celebration. For more information, go to the Facebook event page here. And to register for the event, go here.
