Saw this Sepia Mutiny, spreading the word... In Kansas, police are searching for a Pakistani American college student who went missing last week after leaving frantic text messages about a "creepy guy" who was harassing her: Missing woman told relatives of drunken stranger.
19-year-old Aisha Kahn, a student at Johnson County Community College, was last seen Friday morning at the University of Kansas. Shortly after Aisha was dropped off at the campus, she began sending text messages to her older sister about an altercation with a drunk stranger:
"There's a creepy guy that just came up to me, and he was harassing me," Faiza said her younger sister told her in a message. She told local media outlets that Aisha "was just freaking out at that time. She didn't know what to do. I guess she pushed him and she slapped him."A search involving volunteers and over thirty officers over the weekend turned up nothing. Aisha's family believes her disappearance is an abduction and is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to here whereabouts: Family offers $10,000 reward in search for missing JCCC student.
She said her sister ran away from the stranger and tried calling instead of texting, but reached the voice mail.
"Oh my gosh it was so scary," Aisha said in her voice message. "My heart is like pounding. I've never got this scared in my life. Pick up your phones. I am freaked out right now."
Faiza said she and a cousin went to the campus and found Aisha's phone, book bag and iPod on a picnic table, but her sister was gone.
Aisha is 5 feet 2 inches tall, with dark brown hair, brown eyes and glasses. She wore a black jacket beneath a longer black and white coat and may have been wearing her glasses. Anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (874-474-8477).
