world hepatitis day 2012: be part of a world record

Hepatitis B disproportionately affects Asians and Pacific Islanders. In a weird way, hepatitis B is kind of "racist" against APIs, considering that 1 in 10 of us are infected, compared to 1 in 1000 Caucasians. One in ten! What's up with that? You suck, hepatitis B.

This Saturday is World Hepatitis Day. To mark the occasion, the World Hepatitis Alliance is planning a Guinness World Record attempt to have the most people performing the "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil" actions in 24 hours at multiple venues around the world.

They're counting on lots of folks to show up as part of the national effort in New York City, San Francisco and Boston. If you're in one of these cities and you can make it, spread the word and bring a friend. For more information about these gatherings, go to the Team HBV website here.
