Hey, film fans! If you're in New York City, I highly recommend checking out the theatrical premiere of A Picture of You, opening this Friday, June 20 at the AMC Loews Village 7 in Manhattan. Written and directed by my friend J.P. Chan, and starring Jo Mei, Andy Pang, Teyonah Parris, Lucas Dixon and Jodi Long, it's a great little indie family comedy/drama about sibling squabbles and family secrets.
This is JP's first feature film. I've been a fan of his short films for years, and I was really excited when he finally got around to making a full-length film. I wasn't disappointed. Here's the official trailer:

Just so you know, I'm told that AMC Loews Village 7 is known as the theater "on the same block as Webster Hall" or "across the street from the bubble tea place" or "the one with the escalators." This weekend, cast and crew will be holding raucous Q&As at selected shows. So be there, watch the movie and be part of the fun.
