The greatest revolutionary kids web series is back for a second season. Radical Cram School, featuring performance artist and comedian Kristina Wong, is an award winning digital series where Asian American kids ages 6-12 explore the power of their identities, revolution, and social justice through puppets, community storytelling, and comedy. All six episode of season 2 are available on YouTube now.

The Lovebirds
Behold, the trailer for The Lovebirds! This looks like my kind of romcom. Issa Rae and Kumail Nanjiani star as Leilani and Jibran, who experience a defining moment in their relationship when they are unintentionally embroiled in a bizarre crime. As their journey to clear their names takes them from one extreme circumstance to the next, they must figure out how they, and their relationship, can survive the night. In theaters April 3.

Queens native Awkwafina to be the voice of the No. 7 subway train for a week
Awkwafina, who recently got robbed of an Oscar nomination for her performance in The Farewell, will soon have a starring role as the voice of the No. 7 subway train to Flushing. Riders will hear the rapper/actor, who is a Queens native, handling conductor announcements on the No. 7 train over the next week, in promotion of her new Comedy Central show Nora From Queens.

A Chinatown Odyssey by Jerry Ma
In New York, Pearl River Mart presents its latest art exhibition, A Chinatown Odyssey, opening Saturday, January 18. Through striking illustrations, graphic novel artist Jerry Ma retells the classic Chinese tale of the Monkey King in a modern, urban setting, and takes us on a journey through the Chinatown of his childhood.

By popular demand! This fun t-shirt design puts an Asian American spin on the iconic "We Can Do It" image, with the likeness of Fresh Off The Boat star Constance Wu stepping in for Rosie the Riveter. Created by our friend, artist/illustrator Jerry Ma of Epic Proportions, the shirt will be available in a limited run.

New York Asian Film Festival Poster Art Show

June 27 - July 10 at the Film Society of Lincoln Center



If you're in New York City, check out this awesome exhibition, the New York Asian Film Festival Poster Art Show, presented by Epic Proportions and Subway Cinema, happening June 27 through July 10 at the Film Society of Lincoln Center, during the 13th annual New York Asian Film Festival.

Curated by artist/designer Jerry Ma, the show will feature original artwork inspired by new and classic Asian films from the lineups of this year's New York Asian Film Festival and the Old School Kung Fu Fest. Participating comic book artists and illustrators include Larry Hama, Bernard Chang, Ken Knudtsen, SooJ Lee & Jef Castro, Glenn Urieta and John Jennings.

The show kicks off with an opening reception on Saturday, June 28. Here are some details:

my very own superhero in shattered: the asian american comics anthology

My fellow comic book geeks! Next week marks the official launch of Shattered, follow-up to the groundbreaking Asian American comics anthology Secret Identities, from editors Jeff Yang, Parry Shen, Keith Chow and Jerry Ma.

While the first collection focused on the conventions of traditional superhero comics, this new volume explores some darker and edgier genres to subvert and shatter Asian stereotypes.

The book features an impressive lineup of contributors, including leading comics creators Bernard Chang, Sean Chen, Cliff Chiang, Larry Hama, Sonny Liew, Takeshi Miyazawa, Christine Norrie, Greg Pak, G.B. Tran, Gene Yang and more, as well as folks from the film and literary world like Tanuj Chopra, Michael Kang, Jamie Ford, Gary Jackson and Bao Phi.
