What's up, podcast listeners? We've got another episode of our podcast They Call Us Bruce. (Almost) each week, my good friend, writer/columnist Jeff Yang and I host an unfiltered conversation about what's happening in Asian America, with a strong focus on media, entertainment and popular culture.

Looks like we have a Beast Boy! Ryan Potter has been cast in the series regular role of Beast Boy in Titans, the upcoming live-action TV series adaptation based on the popular DC Comics title.

'Titans': Ryan Potter Cast As Beast Boy In Live-Action Series For DC Digital Service

Titans follows a group of "soon-to-be superheroes from every corner of the DC Universe." Recruited by Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites), this fearless band of new heroes includes Starfire (Anna Diop), Raven (Teagan Croft), and of course, Garfield "Gar" Logan, aka Beast Boy.

As a child, Gar contracted a lethal disease on an African safari with his geneticist parents, only to experience some "bizarre side effects" after being treated with an experimental drug. In addition to his skin and hair turning permanently green, the wisecracking, fun-loving Beast Boy is able to transform himself into animals of any size.

The good folks over at Wong Fu Productions recently dropped this awesome music video for "Write It In the Sky" by Kina Grannis, remixed by electronic producer Ken Loi. The video, which has this supercool sci-fi future vibe going on, stars Arden Cho of MTV's Teen Wolf and Ryan Potter, who supplies the voice of Hiro in Disney's Big Hero 6.

Disney's first animated Marvel adaptation includes Ryan Potter and Jamie Chung



Disney has officially announced the full voice cast for its upcoming animated adventure feature Big Hero 6, based on the Marvel Comics superhero team. The cast includes Ryan Potter as Hiro Hamada, Scott Adsit as Baymax, TJ Miller as Fred, Jamie Chung as Go Go Tomago and Damon Wayans Jr as Wasabi, among others.

Disney Announces the Voice Cast for Big Hero 6

Set in a fictional future metropolis called San Fransokyo, it follows a young robotics prodigy named Hiro Hamada who uncovers a criminal plot and must assemble a team of superheroes to save his city. The movie marks the first animated Marvel feature adaptation from Walt Disney Animation Studios. A super-fun teaser trailer dropped a couple of months back.
