Sound and Fury Podcast Episode 15: Parry Shen

What's up, podcast listeners? We are back with another edition of the Sound and Fury podcast. Episode 15 features actor and longtime friend to the blog, Parry Shen, who stars in the recently released indie sci-fi horror comedy Unidentified, now available on DVD, Video on Demand and Digital Download.

As always, thank you to everyone who's supported the show so far. To catch up on previous episodes, check out the archive. To stay up-to-date with future episodes as soon as they drop, be sure to subscribe. You can also find Sound and Fury on services like iTunes and Stitcher, where you can rate and review the show.

I have to apologize yet again for the sound quality on this one. I messed up the settings while we were recording -- fifteen episodes in and I still don't know what I'm doing -- so the overall levels are rather low and inconsistent throughout the episode. It's rough, but listen-able. And I guess it'll have to do.

So without further ado, check out my conversation with Parry Shen...

Unidentified available on DVD, VOD and Digital Download

Indie found-footage sci-fi thriller comedy about a Vegas trip gone wrong

Hey, movie fans. If you're looking for something a little offbeat, I point you in the direction of the indie found-footage sci-fi/thriller/comedy Unidentified, about a trip to Vegas gone inexplicably very very very wrong.

Written and directed by Jason R. Miller, and starring Parry Shen, Colton Dunn, Eddie Mui and Eric Attell, the movie mixes science fiction, suspense and laughs to create a unique, crazy take on an otherworldly encounter. Our friends Parry and Eddie also put in double duty as producers on the project.

The movie is now available on DVD, Video On Demand and Digital Download -- iTunes, Amazon, Vudu, XBox, YouTube, Google Play -- pretty much wherever and however you prefer to watch.

Parry Shen behaves inappropriately on General Hospital

Don't know how many daytime television fans we've got out there, but if you've been watching General Hospital, you may have caught our friend Parry Shen wreaking havoc in a recurring role as "Brad Cooper." Parry is a really cool guy, but he's also quite good at playing a skeezy dude who can make you feel helllaaaa uncomfortable. Here's a compilation video of his appearances:

yes, we're open now available on dvd/digital download

Film lovers. Something for you. The indie sex comedy Yes, We're Open is now available on DVD and Digital Download. You've heard me rave about it. If you missed it on the festival circuit, now's the chance to watch it from the comfort of your couch or, heck, even your handheld device. It's the future.

Lynn Chen and Parry Shen star as Sylvia and Luke, a seemingly liberal San Francisco couple who reconsider just how modern a lifestyle they actually lead when they meet a provocative polyamorous couple. With temptation around the corner, Luke and Sylvia must figure out where they really stand on love, sex, and honesty.
