Cute Central Park dance video turns into surprise proposal

To the tune of Frank Sinatra's "You Make Me Feel So Young."

It starts off as one of these super-cute dance videos that populate the internet. An attractive New York City couple dance around Central Park to the tune of Frank Sinatra's "You Make Me Feel So Young."

But then, the gentleman gets down on one knee...

Five years ago, dancers Amanda Phillips and Joshua Dela Cruz got together to film a dance reel. They apparently never finished it, but they did start dating. In this video, they finally get around to finishing that reel, but little did Amanda know, Joshua had incorporated a very big surprise into the routine.

Stick around for the final take...

A Sneaky Sneaker Proposal

If the shoe fits, marry her.

I know you romantics like these proposal videos, so here's another one. This video short and sweet, and does not involve the tricks of a hypnotist. Last month, Paul wanted to propose to his gal Hazel. So he did what any sneakerhead would do: he took her to a shoe store and asked her to marry him with some custom-made kicks. Surprise! And her reaction is picture perfect. Check it out:

Hypnotist helps out with surprise marriage proposal

It ain't a marriage proposal unless someone gets hypnotized.

Darren wanted to propose to his longtime girlfriend Christine. But these days, you can't just pop the question. You need to do something spectacular, funny and/or insane, with a dash of public embarrassment. So Darren enlisted the help of a hypnotist: Hypnotist show at Toronto CNE includes a marriage proposal.

It all went down over the weekend at the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto. Weeks ago, Darren schemed with hypnotist/comedian Boris Cherniak, who was performing at the CNE, to get the couple on stage for a trick. Through the power of "hypnosis," Cherniak compelled Darren to propose to Christine with some considerable difficulty, much to the crowd's delight. That's when Cherniak pulled out a sign -- and Darren pulled out a ring.

Here's some YouTube video of the proposal, shot from the sidelines:

Circus performer uses giant balloon to "pop" the question

This is a really cute proposal story out of Vancouver involving a girl, a guy, a circus performance, and a giant balloon: Circus Marriage Proposal: Performer Uses Giant Balloon To 'Pop' The Question.

Nigel Wakita, director of recreational education and a performer at the Vancouver Circus School, wanted to propose to his girlfriend, Fiona Walsh, who also works at the school as the performer and office administrator. So he concocted a scheme around a crowd-pleasing balloon act.

During a circus show with over 250 spectators -- including family and friends -- he "popped" the question:

Love in the Age of Social Media: A Twitbook Proposal

Been seeing this sweet video making the rounds... Something about these proposal videos always gets to me. Meet the newly engaged Jon Park and Genevieve Wong. Last month, after several years of dating, Jon, a Facebook employee, popped the question to Genevieve, who works at Twitter. Naturally, the big proposal would have to involve social media tools from both companies. This video is the result:

Love Will Never Do Without Chu/Chui

Jimmy asks Aileen to marry him, with some help from Janet Jackson.

If you're not suffering from flashmob proposal overload, here's one more, posted to YouTube almost a month ago. Jimmy asks Aileen to marry him, with some help from Janet Jackson.

This one's technically not a flashmob -- it occurs on what looks like a closed-off San Francisco neighborhood street -- but it does involve elaborate surprise choreography that ends with a proposal. Take a look:
