Dammit. Jeremy Lin is out for the season.

Nets guard suffers ruptured patella tendon during Brooklyn's season opener.

Noooooooooooo! Brooklyn Nets guard Jeremy Lin has been diagnosed with a ruptured patella tendon of the right knee and is expected to miss the rest of the 2017-18 season, the team announced Thursday.

The injury occurred Wednesday night during the fourth quarter of Brooklyn's season-opener against the Indiana Pacers. Lin landed awkwardly on a drive to the basket and crumbled to court in obvious pain. His immediate emotional reaction seemed to indicate he knew the injury was pretty serious.

"I'm done," he said, shaking his head, before doubling over in anguish. It's painful to even watch.

Mall security robot injures toddler

16-month-old Harwin Cheng was knocked down and run over by a robot security guard in Palo Alto.

Last week in Palo Alto, a young boy was knocked down and run over by a robot security guard at Stanford Shopping Center. Thankfully, the kid is okay, but his parents are mad as hell. Wait, did I just read that right?

Parents upset after Stanford Shopping Center security robot injures child

Yes, there are robot mall security guards. And their people skills are apparently not so great. Last Thursday, 16-month-old Harwin Cheng had a frightening collision with the Stanford Shopping Center's robot.

"The robot hit my son's head and he fell down facing down on the floor and the robot did not stop and it kept moving forward," Harwin's mom Tiffany Teng told ABC7. The robot ran over Harwin's right foot, causing it to swell, but luckily didn't break any bones. He also had a scrape on his leg from the incident.

Ouch. When it hurts to be Jeremy Lin.

Jeremy Lin is consistently on the receiving end of particularly brutal fouls -- and referees never seem to notice.

Anybody who's followed Jeremy Lin's career closely is aware that the Asian American guard from Harvard takes more than his fair share of fouls on the court. Really rough, bloody nose-inducing flagrant fouls. But does he get roughed up more than the average player? And more importantly, do officials call it?

Let's go to the tape.

Props to the individual responsible for putting together this six and a half minute video, recently uploaded to YouTube, which painfully points out a number of incidents in which Jeremy Lin has been on the receiving end of some particularly brutal flagrant fouls that did not get called -- not even as a regular run-of-the-mill fouls.

It hurts. It's actually kind of hard to watch:

Steven Yeun and Conan Go to the Korean Spa

A painfully hilarious adventure of sweating, touching and nudity.

It was an adventure that could only happen in Koreatown. The Walking Dead star Steven Yeun recently accompanied Conan O'Brien to film a hilarious segment exploring the wondrous haven known as Wi Spa in Los Angeles. The Korean spa, baby! There was lots of sweating, lots of awkward touching, and lots of painful scouring of skin -- mostly while completely naked. Best of all, they made some new friends.

Student gets stuck in giant stone vagina

German firefighters were called to rescue an American student from a six-foot vagina sculpture

So... this happened. Last week in Germany, more than twenty rescue workers were called to rescue an American exchange student who had gotten himself stuck in a bit of a tight spot. Ahem.

American Student Ends Up Trapped in Giant Vagina Sculpture

It seems that the student, in an apparent attempt to get creative with his photo-taking, got himself trapped inside a giant vagina sculpture. Can you imagine having to make that 911 call?

The young stuck American is only being identified as an "exchange student." Given the nature of his emergency, I can understand the desire to remain anonymous. That said, here's the guy in his gloriously ridiculous state of stuck-ness:

A three-time captain, Spear set a school single-season record as a senior with 99 points while connecting on 15 of his 19 field goal attempts. In his past two seasons, he went 4-for-5 from 50 yards or more.

Sullivan & Son star Steve Byrne suffers face injury

Some crazy-ass TV news... Production on has halted on the TBS comedy Sullivan & Son because star Steve Byrne has suffered an injury to his face. Whaaat? This is apparently not a late April Fools' joke: Production On TBS' 'Sullivan & Son' Shut Down After Star Steve Byrne Suffers Injury.

According to Deadline, the show has been shut down for six weeks because had his jaw broken "by an irate cabbie"(!) and will have it wired shut for six weeks. Because you can't make a show when your star's moneymaker is busted up. No other details, but it sounds like one hell of a story.

The second season of Sullivan & Son, which also stars Jodi Long, Vivian Bang and Dan Lauria, returns to TBS in June. Wishing Steve a speedy recovery, and no more encounters with irate anybodys.

Ouch. Jeremy Lin gets kicked on the floor.

Talking about kicking a guy when he's down. Literally. In case you missed this nasty moment from Wednesday night's Rockets/Clippers game, here's the video of Clippers center Ryan Hollins kicking Jeremy Lin in the stomach during a dirty little dustup on the floor. Definitely not cool. Check it:

Ouch: Jeremy Lin's Bloody Head

Oh man. We've seen Jeremy Lin get banged up on the court before, but that's a pretty scary sight of our favorite Rockets' point guard with a bloody head injury, sustained when he collided with Larry Sanders in the third of quarter of Houston's game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night.

Owwww. Jeremy and his bloody head were rushed to the locker room where he reportedly got stitches, but returned to the game for the start of the fourth quarter. What a trooper! The Rockets went on to the defeat the Bucks, 115-101. More here: Jeremy Lin Injury: Updates on Rockets PG's Head.
