Makes sense -- he has portrayed one of the show's most beloved characters, and (SPOILER ALERT) it's a pretty big deal that after six season’s he's finally leaving the show. But his cover is a little groundbreaking in itself.

It's been a pretty big week for Steven Yeun. Sunday kicked off with the much-hyped (and now very much likely spoiled -- sorry) death of his beloved character Glenn on The Walking Dead. Since then he's been making the post-mortem rounds, including a stop back on Conan to hang out with his old pal and debrief his high-profile departure from AMC's popular zombie drama -- and what comes next.

It turns out that Steven already has a new job to follow-up his exit from The Walking Dead. That was quick. Steven's got a sweet new gig as Conan O'Brien's rehearsal stand-in. Here's the behind-the-scenes footage.

By now, if you didn't watch Sunday night's shocking season premiere of The Walking Dead, the internet has already surely somehow spoiled it for you within the last 48 hours. So... there's no way to share this without revealing that one of the hit zombie drama's beloved, fan-favorite characters, Glenn, did indeed die. It was brutal, it was gruesome, and it was deeply upsetting. People are going to be talking about this one for a while.

And people are mourning Glenn Rhee, played by Steven Yeun for six seasons. One Walking Dead fan, paying homage to the fallen hero, wrote an faux obituary (fauxbituary?) for the Batesville Daily Guard, based in Batesville, Arkansas. The piece, which ran in Tuesday's print edition, praised the former pizza deliveryman for his "impeccable moral grounding" and "bravery in the face of both the Undead and the Brutal Living."

This was six seasons in the making, ending on the cruelest of cliffhangers. We would have to wait until next season to find out who got eeny-meeny-miney-moe'd to meet their bloody end, courtesy of Negan's barb-wire covered baseball bat, "Lucille."

On Sunday night's season seven premiere, we finally found out.

It's been a long summer for fans of The Walking Dead, but we'll only have to wait a few more days to learn which character met their bloody end at the hands of the villainous Negan. Fans know that Glenn, played by Steven Yeun on AMC's hit undead drama, [SPOILER] dies in the comics, but maybe our favorite Asian American zombie apocalypse survivor will be spared? Hell, I don't even want to know. Put us out of our misery.

Over the weekend at the geek fan mecca known as San Diego Comic Con, the cast and crew of The Walking Dead gathered for a panel at Hall H in which nobody was able to say a damn thing about the upcoming season.

When we last left AMC's hit zombie drama, one of our beloved survivors was getting beaten to death by the villainous Negan in a moment that fans had been anticipating and dreading for some time. The season ended on the cruelest of cliffhangers, with most of the core characters -- including Glenn, played by Steven Yeun -- on the possible receiving end of Negan's barbed wire-covered baseball bat.

Yes, there is a strong possibility that it's Glenn, if the show chooses to remain faithful to The Walking Dead comic book's most infamous moment. If you're like me, you're praying to the TV deities that this fate would befall someone, anyone else besides our favorite Asian American zombie apocalypse survivor. But the show's panelists remained tight-lipped, talking about the show in broad strokes out of fear of giving away anything.

They did unveil the Season 7 Comic-Con trailer, which reminds everybody that our heroes are in a pretty bad situation, before revealing some non-Negan-related footage from season seven.

Even as an action figure enthusiast and a fan of The Walking Dead, here are a pair of a figures that I'm not so sure I want to add to my collection. He plays a hero on The Walking Dead, and he's apparently a hero in real life. Steven Yeun, who plays Glenn on AMC's hit zombie drama, was recently spotted with co-star Norman Reedus helping victims of a car crash.

On Thursday, Yeun and Reedus were apparently riding motorcycles in Peachtree City, Georgia when they witnessed an auto accident and pulled over to help out. A witness snapped a photo of the two actors, who appeared to be trying to help, next to wrecked cars at the site of the crash.

No word on Yeun's role in the movie, but Tilda Swinton is playing The Ancient One the head of the corporation (and her twin sister), while Jake Gyllenhaal is a zoologist, and Paul Dano is an animal activist looking to expose the corporation's dastardly dealings.

Entertainment Weekly is clearly excited about the return of The Walking Dead. The hit AMC undead drama returns for the second half of season six this Sunday. To celebrate, EW has devoted six variant "special collector's covers" to the show's zombie apocalypse survivors -- including Steven Yeun as Glenn Rhee.

The magazine has done this before, although last time Glenn shared the cover with his lady love Maggie, played by Lauren Cohan (who also got her own cover this time). This set of covers is decidedly less action-y, but still depicts the survivors in a state of alert, ready for some shit to go down. Because shit's gonna go down.

If The Walking Dead was a Netflix true crime series...

This will only be amusing to fans of both The Walking Dead and Making a Murderer.

The Walking Dead official Twitter account -- for the comic book, not the TV show -- tweeted out this parody image mashing up Steven Yeun from the hit AMC zombie drama with the key art for Netflix's hotly buzzed true-crime docu-series about the Teresa Halbach murder case and the trial of Steven Avery.

The image, tweeted with the caption "If Season 6 of The Walking dead were on Netflix..." is an allusion to the apparent death of Yeun's character Glenn at the hands of the undead, the ensuing frustrating month-long fan speculation over whether or not he actually died, and eventual reveal that he had survived.

We really hope Michelle Ang survives 'Flight 462'

16-part 'Fear the Walking Dead' miniseries set on a plane during the zombie outbreak.



If you're a fan of AMC's The Walking Dead and its spinoff series Fear the Walking Dead, then you've probably caught Fear the Walking Dead Flight 462. The 16-part mini-series is being rolled out in weekly one-minute episodes on the AMC Mobile App and on-air during premiere episode broadcasts.

Flight 462 follows a group of passengers who experience the earliest moments of the zombie outbreak aboard a commercial plane, and must act when one of the passengers appears to be infected. AMC has announced that one of the survivors of Flight 462 will join the next season of Fear the Walking Dead.

My hope is that survivor is Charlie, played by New Zealand actress Michelle Ang. She already seems to exhibit a little bit of badassness fit for the zombie apocalypse, so my money's on her. Plus, Fear the Walking Dead, the series set in Los Angeles and its environs, really needs more Asians up in there.

I'm on vacation! This week, I'm taking a much-needed break to recharge the batteries and get a change of scenery. To keep things going around here, I've enlisted the help of several friends of the blog to submit guest posts on various topics of their choosing. Here's one from Ken Fong.

Spoiler alert: If you haven't kept up with The Walking Dead, don't read any farther.

A little more than three weeks ago, multitudes of fans of this hit show on AMC exploded with a collective shriek of disbelief that no doubt attracted multitudes of unwanted zombies to wherever they were watching when actor Steven Yeun's character Glenn Rhee was killed by hordes of the now-infamous reanimated corpses.

For those of us who hadn't read the graphic novel before the show aired, we were de-lighted when, during Episode 1 of Season 1, it turned out that the voice on the radio that guided Sheriff Rick to safety from the "walkers" surrounding the tank belonged to an Asian American character, Glenn Rhee. Even though I was creeped out by the horrific hordes of undead, I was immediately hooked on one of the few current TV shows that featured an Asian American in a heroic-without-being-a-badass-martial-artist role.

When we last saw Glenn on The Walking Dead, our favorite zombie apocalypse survivor was seemingly swallowed by a horde of the undead, leaving legions of fans devastated and traumatized by the cruelest of cliffhangers. And if you tuned into the latest episode to get some clarity on Glenn's final fate, the show said hell no, you'll have to wait at least another week. On top of that, keen-eyed viewers may have noticed a disturbing detail about this episode: Steven Yeun's name was missing from the opening credits.

Since the October 25 episode, there has been a great deal of speculation and theorizing about whether or not Glenn actually met his end or somehow survived that ridiculously impossible situation. But instead of returning to the bloody alley where Glenn may or may not have met his doom, the show took a step back from the current storyline to focus wholly on another character, Morgan, and his backstory.

Is AMC Finally Embracing Diversity This Fall?

It's hard to believe it's already been a week since Comic-Con started, but here we are in that post-Con daze, and I'm still recovering. While I might need some more time before getting back into regularly scheduled posting, I didn't want to leave before I comment on a couple of the trailers that came out of SDCC. No, not this one or that one. Instead, I want to focus on the early looks that came out of the AMC presentations and how the network is kicking off the post-Don Draper era by seemingly embracing diversity in the casts of its newest shows.

As a network, AMC was at the forefront of the Golden Age of Difficult Men. From Mad Men to Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead, the protagonists on AMC's shows were usually anti-heroes who traverse in the grey area between right and wrong and make the hard decisions despite the consequences. So it's because of characters like Don Draper, Walter White, and Rick Grimes -- along with Tony Soprano on HBO -- that television drama about bad men became the prestige format for cable. The other thing they all have in common? They're all white men.
