Papa John's refers to Asian customer as "Ching Ching"

Can I get a large pepperoni with a side of racism?

Ah, this again. A Papa John's Pizza employee in Kentucky apparently couldn't be bothered to write the name of an Asian American customer, and instead decided to designate the recent order's recipient as "Ching Ching."

The incident happened over the weekend at the Papa John's location on Taylorsville Rd. in Louisville. It seems that the customer, who is Korean American, got her pizza with an extra unwanted order of racism. On the box label accompanying her order, someone had identified her as "Ching Ching." (Her name is not Ching Ching.)

Laura M. Cheifetz, whose colleague attends church with the customer, shared a photo of the label on social media, urging folks let Papa John's know how they feel about racism with their pizza.

Kentucky prosecutor fired for derogatory remarks

Attorney's history of "inappropriate and unprofessional" behavior came to light after "greedy foreigners" remark.

Remember that Kentucky prosecutor who got in trouble for sending a racially inflammatory letter regarding the Asian American owners of a local martial arts school? It's official: he's been fired. Good riddance.

Controversial prosecutor Karl Price fired after incendiary comments

After a monthlong investigation, the Jefferson County Attorneys Office terminated local prosecutor Karl Price last week for his unprofessional behavior, as well as his deliberate refusal to take responsibility for his actions.

It all started in May when Price, while working a civil case in his private practice, sent a letter to the attorney representing the owners of Hwang's Martial Arts Academy, calling the Hwang family, among other things, "greedy foreigners." Later, Price doubled down and defended his comments, saying the Hwangs could be "illegal aliens" due to their "broken English." He was subsequently disciplined for his remarks.

Kentucky attorney suspended for derogatory comments

Karl Price's history of "disturbing" behavior comes to light after "greedy foreigners" remark.

Well. Not long after Kentucky lawyer Karl Price received a teeny slap on the wrist for making racist, derogatory remarks in a letter to an attorney representing Asian American business owners, calling them "greedy foreigners," a little digging into his past has revealed a checkered history of shitty, racist -- and publicly documented -- behavior. And it has come back to bite him in the ass.

Attorney Doubles Down on Racist, Offensive Comments

In light of new evidence brought to light by The Courier-Journal, the Jefferson County Attorney's Office has reportedly suspended Price without pay pending an investigation. The internet does not forget, Mr. Price!

In Kentucky, the Louisville prosecutor who made racially insensitive and derogatory comments about the Asian American owners of a martial arts school, calling them "greedy foreigners," has been reprimanded and ordered to attend sensitivity training by the Jefferson County Attorney's Office. Seriously, that's it?

Prosecutor punished for referring to Asian-American business owners as 'greedy foreigners'

Assistant County Attorney Karl Price, while working a civil case in his private practice, sent a letter to the attorney representing the owners of Hwang's Martial Arts Academy, calling the Hwang family, among other things, "greedy foreigners who simply did not understand simple contract relations." Price's client is in the middle of litigation with the Hwangs over a dispute about martial arts lessons.

Price's letter also said that the Hwangs, who are Korean American, were "relying on some ancient Asian principle" by refusing to agree on a settlement figure in the case.

Video catches Kentucky fire chief's racist remarks

"Do you understand English darling?"

In Kentucky, a fire chief is (ahem) under fire for making racist remarks, including using the N-word to refer to a black family and asking an Asian American news reporter, "Do you understand English?"

Kentucky Fire Chief Uses N-Word, Insults Asian-American Reporter

A Bullitt County Sheriff deputy's body camera recorded Fire Chief Julius Hatfield making the racist remark back in September at the scene of a traffic accident. A white driver, Loren Dicken was offered assistance, while Chege Mwangi and his family, who are black, were not given any help by the chief or his department.

"We ain't taking no n-----s here," Hatfield says with a laugh.

Kentucky political operative under fire for racist tweets targeting Mitch McConnell's wife

A prominent Democratic operative is under fire for a series of tweets targeting the ethnicity of former Labor Secretary Elaine Chao, the wife of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky.

After 'she is Asian' tweets about McConnell's wife, Dems rebuke operative

Over the weekend, Senator McConnell spoke to supporters at the annual Fancy Farm event in Kentucky, praising his wife's accomplishments and noting, "the biggest asset I have by far is the only Kentucky woman who served in a president's cabinet, my wife, Elaine Chao."

Say what you will about Chao's actual accomplishments. But Kathy Groob, founder of the PAC Elect Women, took McConnell's remarks as an opportunity to mock her Chinese heritage. She kicked things off by questioning Chao's Kentucky-ness, because, you know, "She is Asian."

Kentucky super PAC attacks Elaine Chao with racist tweets

I've got little love for Elaine Chao, but this racist bullshit. In Kentucky, a liberal super PAC is under fire for tweets attacking Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell's wife, former Labor Secretary Elaine Chao: Liberal Super PAC Sends Racist Tweet About Mitch McConnell’s Chinese Wife.

McConnell (R-KY) is running for re-election in 2013. Progress Kentucky, a super PAC focused on defeating McConnell, posted multiple tweets highlighting Elaine Chao's Chinese heritage, going as far as blaming her cultural ties for the outsourcing of Kentucky jobs and the growth of industrial China:
